How to remotely access desktop without team-viewer?

If you want to access your friends or office desktop without any third party software. You can do this easily by using windows operating system built-in software utility named Remote Desktop Connection.

To do so you need to follow the given steps and before them a little bit setup.

SETUP : Goto to your system properties and select Remote settings in the left side bar. Now it will pop up a window named system property, in Remote Assistance section click and check the Allow Remote Assistance connections to this computer , box.
In Remote Desktop section click on the Allow remote connections to this computer option and eventually click on apply and OK. Do the same setting on the other computer.
Now you're going to learn How to remotely access desktop without team-viewer?.

Step 1. Goto start menu by pressing windows key on your desktop and type remote desktop connection, after getting the option in your search click on the software. It will pop up a window and ask you for your office or friend's system WAN IP address don't worry I am going to let you know how to get the system WAN IP address.

Step 2. Now open your browser and type What is my IP in the Google search, always choose okla.com to know your IP address, if it isn't present there, select any link to know your IP. If your are trying to connect with your friend's or office desktop then ask them to their IP.

Step 3. After getting the IP address of the system copy and paste it or type it in the computer input box of remote desktop software and then click on show option in the bottom of your software, and then type the user name of the system you're trying to connect.

NOTE : "In case of windows 8 on the other side then type the login id of the system in user name section, it might be your gmail or hotmail id so be aware with windows 8, if and only if the windows 8 has logged in from one of these accounts otherwise type the user name of the system."

Step 4. Now click on connect, finally it will ask you to type the password of the other computer type the password and you are good to go now. Do the things in reverse order if you are let going to access your desktop.

Connect remotely with softwares

If you do not want to setup all these things and want another way to do so you can do this by third party softwares like:
1. Teamviewer
2. Ammy
The only problem with these softwares, they are paid you can use only trial version of these softwares. But if you have every thing in your pocket means you have all these cool features available in your windows operating system then I don't think so you need to go anywhere. So be a computer geek and freak after learning all these cool features with me to explore your world of computing with a little bit effort.
