What is Phishing?

" Phishing is a hacker's trick or a way to entrap people by offering some fake extraordinary offers through e-mails or by creating fake pages seems very similar to the real webpages in order to entrap you. They entrap you like a fish, so called PHISHING."

It is Phishing not fishing but similar to fishing. Phishing is a term and a technique used in the world of hacking and also used by hackers or intruders to entrap you in order to steal your identity means your credentials or user name and password. So I hope you get that what is Phishing?

How Phishing takes place in order to entrap you ?

When a hacker or an intruder wants to steal your identity or your credit card and bank account details they send you spam mails to entrap you. When you read that mail which might contain something relevant to your bank account or credit card information in order to entrap, you got stick. Most of the people follow these kind of mails and deliberately and naively hand over their info to the hackers, I meant to say all your info directly passed out to the author of the mail. So don't rely on such e-mails because they wants to entrap you.

Similarly they also sometimes create some seductive Ads or other sort of Ads in order to grab your attention when you hover or click on such Ads they ask you to create a premium account for anything that could be anything i.e. usually payable. So never do the above mention thing to create a premium account always create premium accounts on genuine and reliable websites.

Another way which is used in the Phishing to entrap you that a hacker or an intruder build up a page similar to genuine website like Facebook and send you the page link and ask you to click that link, when you click or hover that link it leads you towards the fake page, and when you see a page similar to Facebook, then you signed in naively and then you're hacked because your credentials are going on the hacker's server.

So these are the basic tricks used by hackers in order to entrap you and 90% people are being hacked because of their lack of perception towards security risks. I would also like to tell you a final thing that this is the only trick to hack someone Facebook account.
