What is VISHING?

Vishing is like phishing which also includes VOIP (Voice Over IP) to exploit. Where VOIP is a Technic in which phone calls are done by means of IP addresses or through internet without using your cellular network and balance. Vishing is done by hackers via voice mails, VOIP calls, landline or cellular phone calls etc. By Vishing hackers can lead you to reveal your personal information over VOIP call. You can be a victim very easily in vishing tactic. So Beware before revealing your information.

Vishing which seems something like phishing is an electronic tactic or a trick to dodge people via voice mail and calls over IP i.e., VOIP. Like phishing hackers or intruders send voice mails or calls over IP to people to inform that there is some security issue has occurred on their Credit card, Debit Card or bank account, and they need to verify their identity by calling on a particular phone number.
If they don’t do so, their account or cards would be ceased permanently. If hackers use cellular phone, then it is possible to find them by cellular ID spoofing. In most of the cases VOIP is used because it is difficult to trace an IP address. Usually VISHING is done by outsourcing which make hackers or intruders to escape easily. So it is not an easy task to find such intruders.

In order to save yourself you need to be aware from such unsolicited and suspicious messages or calls. Never call on such numbers you asked to call, only call on a well-known no. of the legitimate source or organization. Never trust on such calls before revealing or exposing your identities like your account no, credit, debit card pins or any legal information, first ensure by calling to the genuine organization number about incident has occurred on your bank account or card. If hackers or intruders ask to tell OTP or any type of code which can lead you to money transaction, don't tell them your OTP at all before ensuring the propaganda. You are the first person to save your security so check yourself first that your card pin is working or not, thereafter inform your bank or organization about this accident. Remember that banks and genuine organization never call to ask your personal identities over phone calls.
