What is Cloud Computing?

What is Cloud Computing?

"Cloud Computing is a technology used to share computer or server resources like CPU cycles, free memory storage, CPU idle time and other network resources. Cloud Computing enables you to use services provided by a vendor, to ignore having personal resources and its maintenance. Which helps to save money and resource wastage up to a lot of extent."

Cloud Computing is a technology which is being developed just to save computer or server resources and to utilize a computer or server component and devices fully, in order to stop wastage of CPU cycles and idle time, full memory usage and all devices connected in a network in a complete manner. Cloud Computing also saves client's money because a client or user no need to buy or maintain their own resources, and space, people to maintain those resources like servers and network devices.

Cloud Computing provides or includes three services which are described below,

  1. SaaS (Software As A Service)
  2. PaaS(Platform As A Service)
  3. IaaS (Infrastructure As A Service)

SaaS (Software As A Service)

SaaS or Software as a service is an awesome component of Cloud Computing, which helps a user or a client to run software or application without downloading and installing them on their machines or computers. A single application running on a single machine is used by all of its users or client. It also helps up to a lot of extent to stop or prevent software counterfeiting. Office 365 and windows 8 and further store applications are the best examples of SaaS.

PaaS(Platform As A Service)

PaaS or Platform As A Service is another component of Cloud Computing which provides platform like a hosting service, websites to chat with people and so forth. It is also saves client or user's money and maintenance cost. Facebook, big rocks and go daddy hosting services etc are the best examples of PaaS.

IaaS (Infrastructure As A Service)

Iaas or Infrastructure As A Service is the third component of Cloud Computing. which provides an entire Infrastructure to be used by client to run their businesses. In IaaS vendors provide their infrastructure means servers, storage devices, network devices and space to keep these devices, it also provides maintenance and monitoring of the Infrastructure bought by the client to server their business. Amazon web services(AWS), Microsoft's Azure and IBM'S soft layer are the best examples of IaaS.

Please keep learning from computerflicks, because it is beyond computing.
